I am not getting any clients for marketing and its been 3 months.?

My other co worker is getting contracts from clients but here I am doing calls, emails ,..etc yet, its been since march and its June 25, I dont have any clients.

I get stressed out when my boss ask me " when are you going to have a client?"

I keep telling him that I am trying hard but Im thinking inside my head " please shut the f**k up already sheesh".

I hate marketing, I got this job my a friend though. The pay is $1200 a month plus comission.

Any tips on how to get clients?
I did ask for tips, no such luck.
I spend time reading about the customer’s products. I hate cold calling. What I have been doing all this time was emailing .

I have to agree with the first person. If you don’t enjoy what you are doing, it is probably reflected in your attitude and your prospective clients can no doubt pick up on that.

If you are working your tail off and earning only $300 a week, that’s not a whole lot of money to walk away from. You would be better off seeking a position that you enjoy in a field that you could be more passionate about. If you love what you do, the money will follow.

If you decide to tough it out, you need to realize that the only way you are going to get clients is by approaching each client with a message that is specific to them and the needs of their business. If you’re not taking the time to learn about their business or what they do (by reading their website or visiting their stores), then there is no way you are going to be able to appeal to them.

As a marketing director, I get cold calls all the time. Most of them are very short in nature, because I can always tell which solicitors have taken the time to learn about my business and have tailored their sales pitch to address my business.

Also, do you know your company’s product or service forwards and backwards? Can you speak about it in a way that inspires confidence in your prospect? Or are you simply reading from a script and hoping you don’t lose your place before they hang up on you?

I wish you luck with your career. Marketing is a very rewarding field, but it is not easy.

Mail sent from non-yahoo accounts delayed or experiencing delivery failure to yahoo accounts?

When I send mail from my work account to a yahoo account (My account or a family member usually so I’m not getting the address wrong) it goes undelivered for upto 72 hours (of which I get delay notifcations on my work account) and often never gets delivered at all!
I have not marked myself as spam (obviously) or used obscene language and although a high volume email company (mail order) my company does not send unsolicited emails (only order confirmations – no email marketing as we hate these emails) so I see no reason for yahoo to block or flag our emails!) Is it just that yahoo cannot handle its mail volume? Should I just get another type of freemail account for my personal use or is there a quick solution?
I have asked yahoo about this but they fobbed me off with a ‘spam filtering’ excuse. Not really good enough when we are talking about a service supposedly providing communication and their answer went no way toward offering a solution!

1. Temporary Suspended Account. From either Sender or receiver.
2. Cancelled account.
3. Full email box.
4. Your on a botnet with a virus and the server returned it because your ISP has stopped
letting you send email until the PC is cleaned of botnet virus.
5. Wrong email address or domain of recipients.
6. Too many email addresses on one sending.
7. One address needs to be corrected before any on a multiple list can be sent.
8. The message took too long and can`t find address so one of the servers gave up.

anyone know of a good company to purchase an email lists from?

I am assisting a friend with marketing her business and I suggested she implement an email campaign as part of her e-marketing campaign. The problem is, she has not been collecting emails, so we want to start with a generic list and build from there. Most importantly, I want a list that can be tailored to our specific demographic.

ConsumerBase – http://www.consumerbase.com – is an email marketing company that can provide emails tailored to a specific demographic.

Email Marketing Campaigns- low cost recommendations?

I am evaluating email marketing companies for my business newsletter. It seems Constant Contact is the most well-known but I’m trying to find one that’s more like $5/mo. for 1,000 contacts. I am using www.talkwaremedia.com ($4.50/mo for 1,5000 contacts) and it’s ok but I find the newsletter creation somewhat un-user-friendly and I find the contact database fairly confusing. Anyone have experience w/ a good and low cost company? Thanks!
I work for a direct sales company and I do have my own customer list… currently about 100 people but I add to it monthly.

Depends on the product you are selling and whether you have your own list. Send an email to e@culx.net for details

Can I create mass html email with Adobe Creative Suite?

I am looking to do some email marketing. Opt-in, of course. We are a printing company and have the full Adobe Creative Suite. I wondered if anybody knew if we could use that to create mass email with embedded text and graphics along the line of an html email. If you can advise me I would definitely appreciate it.
Thanks, Fatty
Now I know that at least I can do the design work in Adobe. Can I use Act! 2006 to send the emails or do I need to get outside help to accomplish what I am trying to do? Thanks for your help, except that first guy who sucked.

You could design your email with Creative Suite, but you couldn’t mail it out using that software. You’ll need a listserv type software product. There are also some good companies out there that provide this service through a web interface.

How to get thousands of e-mail addresses for internet marketing?
I need to send bulk emails to many email accounts..
is there a way i can get all those email addresses list for free?

The process is called "mail harvesting" of a site that contains email adresses. There are are some software you’ll need to find yourself. About mass mail, its not quite etical to send something to somebody that he doesn’t want

how to apply for email marketing jobs ? which are the reliable sites ?

i want to do emailing job.for example sending marketing mails to many people.how to appy for such kind of jobs ? and which are the reliable sites ?

I have noticed that at http://www.bokrin.com there are marketing/advertising job offers. I am not sure how you would apply for it, maybe just send email and they will inform you what you need to do. If they ask you to send money before starting jobs, it probably would be scam

How can i contact my potential market via emails without disturbing them? Or other ways?

My target market is small business owners. I’m thinking to get on their websites and send them email about my product. Is that going to work? I don’t want to be rude. Is there any other effective ways to reach them regardless of locations? Thanks!

Being a "small business owner" and a business consultant/coach, sending unsolicited emails will not be appreciated or opened. There are other more effective ways you can get your presence known to your market. You didn’t define which small business owners would be in your market or what your product is, so this limits how I can answer your question. So here are some general questions to answer for yourself. Do you have a presence on Twitter? Do you have a profile on LinkedIn or FaceBook? (These 3 social networking sites give you the ability to market nationally/internationally.) Do you belong to local networking groups? Do you have a blog … where your niche market can find you and get to know, like and trust you? Do you have any articles or You Tube videos posted? Have you visited forums where business owners meet to see if they have the problems your product solves? If not, this is where you can begin market your product and yourself, create your presence and start reaching those people who may be in your market niche.

Tips for gettng more customers and keeping the ones you have?

I feel like I have exhausted every single marketing plan there is, from direct marketing to direct mail, to internet marketing. I have carefully crafted a business plan, found my niche and think i have done a good job letting people know I’m here. People tend to flock to my website and thats about all they do, flock. I know its normal for small businesses to go through that phase where the phones stop ringing, the email stops coming in and people tend to stop in there tracks before they ever reach you. Small businesses owners, how did you overcome this? Anything I should try?
What about my website, www.nickelsanddimes.biz? Is there anything I could improve there?
Thanks for your reply

Hi Amy,

You said you had people flocking to the site, but obviously no one was interested in parting with any cash for your services. I looked at the site and at first I thought the site was possibly still under construction because I kept seeing basically the same thing on each page.

A lot of people don’t want to have to scroll down too far. I forget what the statistics are for how long we can hold someone’s attention, but it is only seconds, I remember that much, but can’t remember whether it is 10 seconds or 3. I do remember from my days in HTML / web design school that it was recommend to keep each page down to a screen shot size. Also the sections where the columns are very long or empty seem a bit, well, empty…. maybe wrapping the text from one column to another with headings might be a consideration.

If I were going to advertise, I would want to see an example of what the brochure(?) looks like, kind of get a feel for what type of product was coming out. I am also not clear as to whether this is a ‘local’ thing or world wide. Maybe I didn’t read everything.

A couple of nit-picky things…. there are a couple of instances where what I think the word ‘now’ should be ‘know is there instead and also on your Advertising page where it says "After the publicatin date Nickels and Dimes will place a poll on its website to find out how many people have downloaded or read our e brochure." Publication is missing the ‘o’.

I only mention this because mis-spellings, etc… on a professional business site can take away from the site…. I don’t mean to criticize because I am the worlds’ worst at spelling sometimes and proofing my work and sometimes when I do my own proofing… the word looks right to me in my mind.

Maybe if you flipped the top information about the myspace thing with the lower columns, people would get to your ‘content’ faster. However, I know how time consuming web development can be and deciding to rework a site is certainly an individual choice.

The color choices are good and give a comfortable warmth.

Anyway … that is just my ‘nickel and dime’s worth’
