Q:
Why can't I use the email program I already have to send messages
to my customers?
A:
Regular email programs are designed for small sets of email
delivery. They usually do not accept large lists of emails,
and if they do they have to be entered individually on each
message to be sent.
In Touch
ME accepts multiple email address
lists as well as giving you the opportunity to create and save
large numbers of different email messages. This gives you the
versatility to choose the address list and match it with a corresponding
message.
Q:
How do I avoid sending duplicate messages?
A:
Most email programs do not have a tracking device to monitor
the progress of a mailing project. If they are stopped for some
reason your only recourse is to start over. When a potential
customer receives the same message multiple times it gives your
company the illusion of being unprepared.
The best way to avoid a situation
like the one I just explained is by using an email program that
will keep track of what has been sent. The new Intellitrac feature
inside In Touch ME
tracks the progress of each mailing. If your project is interrupted
you simply start the project again and it will pick up exactly
where it left off.
Q:
Is there a way to deal with un-subscribe requests with out manually
searching through my lists and removing them one by one?
A:
Yes there is a way to handle these more efficiently. I include
a short line at the bottom of my message that instructs the
recipient to reply to my message with the word remove in the
subject line. Once this is done, In Touch
ME moves their contact information
into a permanent remove folder. Even if you re-enter their information
into a new project list they will not receive any new messages.
If they would request more information in the future, you will
need to delete it from the remove folder and you may begin sending
them information again.
Q:
Do I need to construct my HTML email messages in a web tool like
Front Page?
A:
No you do not need any special HTML tools. In
Touch ME has a built
in HTML editor which gives you the freedom to create professional,
interesting and effective messages. You do not need to be an
HTML programmer to create messages WYSIWYG (what you see is
what you get). As you change colors, fonts, or insert an image
it appears on the message just as your customers will see it.
Q:
Will In Touch ME
send personalized messages, and if so how?
A:
Yes. It will insert your choice of personal information for
each recipient on your mailing list as it progresses down the
list. As you set up the initial recipient lists, you are prompted
to enter the email address, first and last name for each recipient.
The next step is to create your message. During this process
you can choose which type of personal information you would
like in the message. You have the option for the first name,
first and last name, or the name and email address. When the
messages are sent the information you have chosen is inserted
into the email as the process moves through the address list.
Q:
How can I follow the progress of my project?
A:
You can check the status of each project through the reports
option. You will see detailed delivery reports for each message
sent. There is also a "already sent" folder for each
mailing project. This will show all of the messages that have
been sent in this project.
Q:
Is there a limit to the amount of email message I can send?
A:
No, In Touch ME
does not limit the amount of email messages that can be sent.
Your ISP (Internet Service Provider) may have limits to the
amount of bandwidth usage you may use. You may want to check
with them to see if there are any restrictions. ISPs will sometimes
place these restrictions on their accounts to allow for more
users on a service with out the need to upgrade service.
