Ok I am a small business owner, I need some traffic to my website. I just purchased a list of 1 Million Businesses email address, I know i cant send them all email at once, If i go through Yahoo or MSN or even Gmail it wouldnt let me send more than 50 a time and if i do 50 a time it will take me months to finish 1 million list!

So My question is !

I know GODADDY is offering email marketing but its quiet expensive they would allow me to send to 100,000/emails for $30/m ……. there are other competiters but prices are high.

I am looking for cost effective solution, Or maybe a freeware software?

Any help regarding this would be appriciated!

e-Campaign bulk email software enables you to easily design rich HTML emails and newsletters, and deliver personalized HTML emails to your target audience using mailing lists.

It sends a personalized/separate copy of your email to each address in your mailing list (one at a time); and each recipient will see only his/her email address in the To: field. Among the key features are mail merge, personalized file attachments and images, support for popular databases (Access/Excel, SQL Server, MySQL, etc), WYSIWYG HTML composing, built-in SMTP server, bounced email and unsubscribe processing, recurring mailing scheduling, fast email delivery, Unicode and international character support, and ease-of-use.

Email Marketing, Why I Love Spam

Yep, I am a spam lover. Hate to say it, but there really is a lot to learn from mailing lists and you know what, you might even get some good information while going through it. Learn how to utilize mailing lists by studying what the internet marketing gurus are doing.

Even if you are not interested in what some people are sharing on their mailing lists, you can still learn effective techniques by doing case studies on many mailing lists and it costs nothing, so go sign up for some junk and learn what works and what does not. Then you can implement the good in your own email campaigns and make sure to take out what is no good!

Email Marketing and Mailing List Management Options – Which One is Right For You?

email marketing is the most cost effective form of marketing. Actually, it doesn’t cost anything to send emails, unless you consider internet bandwidth as a cost! However, you do need to have systems to send emails to your mailing list. There are many ways you can do this, ranging from free hosted services and free software, to one time payment owned products, to monthly payment hosted solutions. All systems have their own pros and cons, their own features and advantages. Let us discuss these in detail so that we can decide which one is best for you:

Free Hosted Solution: There are several free autoresponder services available online, if you search on google. One of them is sendfree.com. The problem with these services is that they have very limited features and at some point of time you will require to upgrade to their paid solution, as your business expands. I wouldn’t advice to go for it, unless you’re doing it for entertainment purposes only.

Free Mailing Software: There are quite a few softwares available that you can install on your own server. This is OK to start with. But since it is free, you may be limited with features. Additionally, you won’t get any support and neither will they hold responsibility for any bugs or security holes. You can opt for this solution if you’re just trying your hand at it and are not very serious about it.

Paid Mailing Software: If you prefer to have complete control over your subscriber list and would prefer to pay a one time fee (and maybe a small annual fee for support and upgrades) instead of a monthly fee, this is a good option to choose. Depending on the software you purchase, there are a range of features to choose from, so do your research before taking a decision. Remember, taking backup of your lists is your responsibility. Depending on the number of subscribers you add to your lists on a regular basis, you should take a backup accordingly, like weekly, daily or even every few hours. Your list is your most important business asset, so take care of it. Autoresponse Plus is a good option to choose, if you opt for this solution.

Hosted Solutions: There are a whole range of hosted list management and autoresponder solutions available on the internet. A few of them are aweber, getresponse, emailaces, 123response, etc. Some of these solutions also offer an inbuilt ecommerce module like the 1shoppingcart. In fact, the professional package of 1shoppingcart has a complete online marketing system including digital delivery of downloadable products, affiliate tracking software, shopping cart, ad tracking, multiple payment gateway integration, etc.

Most popular hosted email solutions providers also maintain very good relationships with many ISPs, which is certainly an advantage when it comes to email deliverability. The chances of getting your email lost in a junk folder or not getting delivered at all decreases drastically, when you choose this option. However, this tends to be an expensive option and you need to fork out anything ranging from $10 to a few hundred dollars a month. The cost depends on which provider you choose and also the number of subscribers that you have / expect to have. Choose this option if you’re confident of taking full commercial advantage of your list. Another good but very expensive hosted solution is infusionsoft. It has all the bells and whistles like open rate, click rate, unsubscribe rate, and other statistics.

Whatever solution you choose, remember to educate yourself with the spam laws and also keep your knowledge updated. You never know when an unintentional goof up can land you in serious trouble. Most importantly, use double optin, have your complete address in all emails, and have a genuine unsubscribe link within your emails.

How to Build An Opt in Email List for Beginners

One of the powerful tools in online “email” marketing is to build an opt-in mailing list. An opt-in mailing list is a database of peoples’ names and email addresses that have subscribed to an email list via a web form giving that list owner permission to send them periodic emails on the topic they are interested in. The best gift of this powerful tool is the possibility of being able to talk to people who are particularly interested in your product, service or organization.

This gaining popularity of building opt-in mailing list is known as Permission email Marketing.

There are do’s and don’ts in starting your opt-in mailing list. Here are some of the most important tips worth mentioning:

DO’S

1.Put a subscription form prominently on your website. You can create your own subscription form using a software Sign-Up to’s form builder.
2.Inform people that they can subscribe to your email list on the signature of your normal work emails. This will enable it to link straight through the form on your website.
3.Ask people permission if they do want to be subscribed on your mailing list. As much as possible avoid being suspected for SPAM.
4.Open options for subscription especially during your interactions with them. Always be ready with your subscription cards if you run in on events.
5.Be clear on how people can benefit from subscribing and how often will you contact them. Make them know exactly what they will be receiving.
6.If you can, contact new subscriber as soon as you can. Welcome them with notes and tell them what to expect.

DON’T

1.Add everyone who has ever emailed you to your list. Always ask permission first.
2.Purchase lists that you are not 100% sure that are opt-in. Always have an evidence to prove the legitimacy of the opt-ins.
3. Abuse people’s trust. This is a sure way to ruin your brand and you. Soon enough they will ignore your messages.

Building your opt-in mailing list is cheaper than in sending direct mails. Printing, envelopes and paper used as material further add up to the cost. Here are some ways to effectively start your opt-in mailing list:
1.Free Newsletter. One of the most effective ways to build an opt-in list is to offer your online visitors freebies of value such as newsletter which will contain information that they can relate to such as tips, tools, recipes, travel itineraries and others.
2.Make it Easy to Subscribe. Provide easy steps for subscription so that subscribers may find it easy to do so and would not be discourage. For more subscribers, tell them the exact benefits they can get out of the subscription.
3.Quality Content. Be sure that what is written inside the newsletter, freebies and information found in your website are all of value to increase visitors dropping by your website.
4.Forums. Discussion boards and forums are all over the net. Try to actively participate in these boards especially those in the line of your interest or your business. Try to build your reputation with credibility.
5.Write articles. This makes you an instant expert in your chosen field of interest. You just have to play on it and use it well in your business goal.
6.Co-registration. A very effective way to build a monster list in a very short time.
7.Write an e-book. An excellent freebie for those who visited and subscribe in your mailing list. The e-book does not have to be expensively made or elaborate but it can be a compilation or a collection of best articles, business tips and resources.

In building opt-in mailing lists always keep in mind to offer something of value to your prospects. Remember opt-in lists are the foundations of most profitable internet business so do not miss chances for improvement and developing new strategies.

Having an opt-in list is not easy, it is hardwork but with some relieving advantages too. But to build an opt-in mail list has to be focused and effective in truly capturing the desired target. Take a look at these 10 Quick Easy Steps to Building A Highly Targeted and Responsive Opt-in List.

1.Choose your target market or niche. Remember you are not the only one competing in internet marketing; you have to be sure who your internet marketing is.
2.Be sure that you can reach your target audience online.
3.Do not waste on time on a non-profit investment or spending. Always monitor your spending.
4.Forums and discussion boards are available for maximum use. Find your target market problems.
5.Identify what is keeping your customers from getting what they want and help them get it.
6.Try offering your viewers solving some of their problems.
7.Set up a simple direct response mini-site.
8.Get an auto-responder account. It is important for you to acquire and set this thing up because this is where your visitors will come.
9.Bait your potential customers through giveaways like: ebooks, special reports, mini courses and coupons, etc.
10.Reach out in any way you can to your target market.

Opt-in building is a tedious work but with amazing results. The process of building it takes time and effort but persists. Always treat your “find” as a goldmine so that you will offer them the best deals in the market, those with great quality and value. Doing all these, would earn you credibility and a profitable business on the Internet.

Optimizing Email Marketing Campaigns

At some point or the other, all of us have felt exasperated by the number of marketing emails that flood our mailboxes everyday. Each of these emails is trying to sell something or the other and eventually finds its way to the trash box. Most of us think that unwanted emails are SPAMs and do not really care what the actual definition of SPAM is. I am not trying to demoralize you. These are just plain facts. The only way to avoid being treated as a spammer is to send emails to recipients who have already authorized you to send them emails. I am talking about opt-in email marketing here.

An opt in list is a list of subscribers who have actually signed up to receive your newsletters or promotional offers by email. emails sent to subscribers are better received and are more effective. Moreover, opt in lists come for free, whereas buying mailing lists can be expensive. Set aside a portion of your advertising budget for optimizing your website, create some interesting newsletters from time to time and you are good to go. Opt in lists contain pre-qualified leads and hence they generate more business.

The simplest way of creating an opt-in list is to make the visitor of your website to sign up for receiving email on special offers and newsletters. If you make a sale on the website you can give the choice to the customer whether to receive emails on promotional offers. By doing this you will be excited to see how many of them would opt to say yes.

The best part is that this email list will keep growing. On the other hand, if you purchase a mailing list from the market, you will have to keep sending emails to the same number of people over and over again unless you are ready to buy an updated email list every year.

Your emails must be short and clear to get a better output, on the other hand you must also attract your subscribers by giving new offers. The emails should not have too many promotion offers. This will help you to retain your customers for a long period of time. And also if you don’t have prior experience in this field, you may take help of someone who is expert in this field.

But still if you opt to send any promotional offers make sure that your content good. The ultimate thing that matters here is regarding the trust you build among people by offering genuine product and service. By being authentic you are making yourself reach the goal. There are many companies which have been successful in this field by earning the reliability among people. So it’s better to have some knowledge about email marketing campaign if you really want to emerge as a winner in your online business.

Using an Email Marketing Agency to Build Business

If you have looked into email marketing, you have probably come across an email marketing agency or two. You may have even encountered the concept of email broadcast software and mailing list lead generation. But, if you are unfamiliar with the inner working of these strategies, they can seem very confusing. In this article, we’ll take a look at each to determine how they work and how they can help grow your business.

email Marketing Agencies
An email marketing agency can help you to design a direct email marketing campaign to promote your business and increase your sales. Though each agency works differently, most offer advice on mailing list lead generation, introductory emails, email design, email list management, sales promotions, and database marketing. If you need extra help, you be able to find an email marketing agency that can offer you email broadcast software to help you build, send, and track emails.

If you are unfamiliar with building campaigns and email strategies, an agency can offer you the information you need to become an expert on the subject. Most agencies will also provide you with marketing tips to help drive readers to your website and get them to opt-in to your email list.

The price you pay for these types of services can vary significantly. Unfortunately, so can the results. If you are thinking about hiring an email marketing agency, be sure to check their credentials, and ask plenty of questions about how their process works. You may also want to question why the agency stands out among their competitors. If they can’t provide you with a good answer, consider contacting another email marketing agency that can offer you more.

email Broadcasting Software
All companies should have the ability to communicate with their customers efficiently and effectively. Using email broadcasting software can make this a whole lot easier. With software, you can bring your email marketing management in house. This ensures that your email list won’t get into the wrong hands, and you will not have to worry about unexpected and unfounded surcharges. Software can be used for newsletter distribution, email marketing, promotions, and much more.

Good email broadcasting software has mailing list creation and editing, email message composition tools, and professional email broadcast. Great email broadcasting software has everything mentioned in the previous sentence, plus data-processing tools, link and email tracking, a bounce-back pickup system, mailing list lead theft protection, an integrated sign-up page, and a double opt-in option.

Mailing List Lead Generation
If an email marketing agency or email broadcasting software won’t bring you the leads you need, you can look into the many companies who offer mailing list lead generation. These companies can provide you with qualified leads that you can use to find new customers. However, you will want to be very careful. It is important to get leads suited to your business. If you can’t turn the leads into customers, any work or money that you have spent will turn out to be a waste.

Are you Accidentally Spamming your Email List?

There are a large variety of techniques that can be used to build and profit from an email list. The problem, however, is that many of these methods can be considered SPAM by various people, because what is considered spam is ultimately in the eyes of the reader. Even if you think you’re doing everything right, your emails may be seen as spam by most of your list.

You need to ensure you follow some basic steps to ensure your emails do not get flagged as SPAM by your readers? This is more than just getting your emails through the filters; it’s ensuring that people will recognize you and actually read the email.

1. Always use an opt-in or double opt-in list. A double opt-in list is the best way to go, which is when you send the reader a confirmation email requiring them to click on a link before they are added to the mailing list. This ensures you do in fact have the subscriber’s permission, which will prevent unjust accusations of sending unsolicited emails.

2. NEVER rent an email list. This is extremely important. If someone has never heard of you, has had no previous interactions with you, and has not requested any information from you, then you are spamming them. It doesn’t matter how much you paid for the list or how reputable the company that sold you the list is, you are sending spam, plain and simple.

3. Choose your subject line carefully. When you’re first building a relationship with new subscribers, they will not likely recognize your name (people tend to forget about the lists they subscribe to rather quickly) and you are therefore dependent on them opening your email based entirely on the subject line. This means you need to avoid using any trigger words or phrases that can be viewed as spam.

4. Explain your relationship to the reader. If you don’t send out emails frequently enough that the subscriber will recognize your name, the first thing you should include in your email is a sentence that tells them who you are and why you’re sending them this email. Say something like, ‘You are receiving this email because you recently purchased product X from us’ or, ‘you are receiving this email because you signed up to receive periodic news and updates about…’

5. Build up your relationship with your readers as often as you can. This will help the reader recognize your name and can include something as simple as sending a holiday greeting, or perhaps sharing a recent event that happened in your life such as a the birth of a new baby or a recent trip you took. These days people can receive upwards to 100 emails in a day so you want your name to be identified as someone they know and trust; you don’t want your email to be passed over or lost in a pile of spam.

6. Follow the CAN-SPAM laws regarding commercial email. The laws include items such as containing an unsubscribe link in every email and including the mailing address of the company or person sending the email. The CAN-SPAM act can be found at www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/buspubs/canspam.htm.

The last thing you want is to be labeled as a spammer. It will hurt your reputation and affect your bottom-line. When you build a strong relationship with your readers by being completely honest and using the steps above, everyone is happy.

Is Email Marketing Dying?

In 2006, 40% of all email sent throughout the world was considered SPAM. This begs the question, “Will my email get to my subscribers?”

Every day it gets harder to determine if an email is legitimate; users find it difficult to distinguish between legitimate emails and spam. Spammers continue to find clever ways to bypass email filters and as a result the filters increasingly block valid emails in a desperate attempt to keep up. Many marketers find filters frequently catch their commercial emails.

The sheer volume of spam people receive has also created other problems. People will often mistake valid commercial emails, from mailing lists they’ve subscribed to, as spam and thus the email never gets opened. As this trend continues, some experts predict email will no longer be a useful marketing tool.

What can you do to avoid being marked as spam?

The best thing you can do is limit as many factors that may cause your email to be flagged as spam as possible:

- If you’re not doing so already, use a double opt-in mailing list. This will ensure they do in fact want to receive emails from you, plus they will recognize your name, which prevents any emails you send from being mistaken as spam.

- Once a subscriber has signed up to the mailing list, display a message on the website that tells them to add your email address to their white list to prevent it from being flagged as spam.

- Send your email as plain text. Avoid HTML emails as those tend to get picked up by the filters a lot more than plain text.

- Avoid using high threat keywords such as ‘Free’, ‘Discount’, ‘Offer’, and ‘Money’ in your subject line as well as the email body. Most spammers these days are smart enough not to use these, but filters will still pick up on them and consider your email suspicious. If you need to use these types of keywords, you can space them out like ‘F r e e’, or include separating characters like ‘O-f-f-e-r’.

Will people abandon email for another electronic medium?

It’s difficult to tell where email marketing will be a year from now. In 2004, Bill Gates predicted there would be an end to all spam by 2006. Well, I don’t need to tell you that the exact opposite has occurred – there is more spam today than ever before, and there is no sign it will be letting up any time soon. It will only continue to get harder to find ways around the problem.

The good news is email marketing has already stood its ground. When blogs and podcasts emerged, many believed they would replace email as the dominant marketing media, but it did not happen. Yes, people embraced blogs and podcasts, but they still subscribed to mailing lists as they had before, despite the spam.

email is still a strong marketing media and every indication shows that it will remain useful in the years to come. Unless everyone in the world suddenly decides to stop using email, there will always be a way to reach subscribers on the web this way.
